The hike was fantastic, challenging enough to be rewarding, but still manageable. The views from the top were absolutely stunning, and finishing with a refreshing swim at the waterfalls made the experience even more memorable. Bruce is a genuinely kind and thoughtful person. He shares plenty of interesting insights along the way and always makes sure everyone feels safe and comfortable. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Rarotonga.Posted on Miša HenninTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. thank you so much Bruce! we had the most wonderful time hiking across rarotonga with Bruce. the view from needle point is definitely worth it. bruce was patient and took it slow when we needed to because of the humidity. he is also full of knowledge! it was a super interesting hike because of the conversations we had with himPosted on Tristan RudicTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Bruce was an amazing guide, very caring and patient and his knowledge and passion for the land and wildlife is infectious. Without his encouragement and help I wouldn't have scaled the side of the needle. This was one of our highlights of our Rarotonga holiday. Shout out to HeiHei the rooster. Thanks again Bruce, we give you 5 stars out of 5 :) :) Scott and Sandy ElmigerPosted on Michael FennTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My wife and I went on the cross island hike and it was one of the best things we did on Rarotonga. Bruce is an amazing guide and full of fantastic local knowledge and historical facts. Thank you, for such a fabulous experience.Posted on Poorna BadlaniTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Bruce thank you for taking our family on the hike. It was tough in parts but your calmness, experience and wisdom of the terrain gave me faith that we could get through it.Posted on Richard ThompsonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. So you could do the walk without a guide but then you would be missing out on Bruce’s service and his vast local knowledge. He picks you up, drops you off and provides a half time snack and lunch at the finish - well worth the price. The walk itself is rugged, fairly challenging and exhilarating - a steep up, short chain/rope assisted climb to the top, and steep down followed by a gently undulating walk to the finish all under beautiful forest cover. All that and you’ll be home for around 12:30 pm. A firm 5 stars from me.Posted on Florence PatelTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My daughter and I Loved the Needle trek with Bruce and Lolo our guides. Bruce was leading the group and Lolo connected with him via talkie-walkie at the back was checking on us the whole way. We loved the diversity of the trek from steep terrain to flat ridges down to the water stream surrounded by endemic ferns, trees and flowers. The last stretch of the needle is a challenge and can be dangerous, I would not recommend doing it without a guide as there is no safety and it is isolated. Thank you again for your knowledge, your organisation and the delicious snacks, it was smooth from pick up to drop off ! 🌺 ⛰️ Highly recommended!Posted on Chris DaviesTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. This was brilliant. Guided by Bruce- who is Mr Informative (local flora, fauna, island history, culture and basically everything Cook Islands). We were a group of 14 (Bruce leading and assistant at the back) and the whole experience was marvelous.Bruce was there to help and give advice and help us up and down the needle. Got down to the end and Bruce’s mum was there with lovely home made sandwiches. Bring lots of water and a sense of adventure. A great experience!Verified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust.
